RTS Family Get-TogethersFamily weekend1 600w

The Support Group organises regular get-togethers, and family weekends providing families with an opportunity to share information, experiences and friendship.

Two events per year are organised – usually in spring and early December.

Gaining information from experts is an important part of the events with speakers on a variety of topics being invited along or discussion groups being held to give families the chance to talk openly with other members.

The children also have the opportunity to have fun, with entertainers, craft activities and our regular visit from the Easter Bunny or Santa according to the time of year.Family weekend2 600w

At most events there is also the opportunity to take part in research projects which aim to understand the syndrome better and ultimately help parents and carers.

RTS Support Group members are encouraged to join in, catch up with old friends, meet new friends and feel the support afforded to one and all.
